Los Angeles Wedding Photography, Cicada [Summer + Julian : Art Deco Wedding]

01.24.12  |  weddings

This vintage art deco wedding was featured on the Ruffled Blog today! My super creative clients, Julian (a writer/director) and Summer (a Hollywood costume designer) along with the AMAZING Amber (queen of fabulosity) of Amber Events created a true spectacle at Cicada Restaurant in Los Angeles. I hope you enjoy the imagery and details from Julian and Summer's wedding. LONG post... but so worth it!

PS- (Are you addicted to Pinterest? We just added a Pinterest button at the bottom of each post. It will "pin" the top image from the blog post. Or, you can always you Pinterest's own applet to pin any image. Do it... it's so fun!)

Summer is a costume designer and created her own Etsy shop where she creates custom ties using an image provided by her customers. This is a pin up picture of Summer in a tie that she created. So fun!

Summer practiced her surprise dance number while she was getting ready.

Julian's gift to Summer... s signed print from artist Tim Burton. Wow.

Julian receives his gift and sees Summer's picture on the tie for the first time.

Seriously.

So much better than a bouquet!

They had a stage custom designed/built. Amazing!

Their program. A custom telegram.

Guests signed their "guestbook" by typing on their vintage typewriter.

The briefcase??? It was Jerry Garcia's... a special item that belongs to Julian and carried the ring.

One of the most beautiful toasts I've witnessed. She closed it in song.

Pin up singers/dancers... Yes, please.

And, after a brief intermission, none other than Summer herself showed up to participate in some fabulous dancing and a huge surprise for Julian!

Isn't she just adorable???

Dave Damiani and the No Vacancy Orchestra... UNREAL. Seriously.

Check out this dessert table. Yowza.

Cigar girls...
